How does DiviTip make money?
DiviTip earns revenue from subscription plans (Team, Business, and Enterprise) and a small processing fee of 5% + 30¢ added to each tip at checkout. This fee is paid by the customer, not the business. Your team keeps 100% of every tip.
Is it really free for individuals?
Yes. The Individual plan is completely free with no monthly fees. A small processing fee is added at checkout and paid by the customer — not you.
What does the customer see?
After selecting a tip amount, the customer sees a clear breakdown: the tip they chose plus a small processing fee. They can see exactly where their money goes before confirming.
How do employees get paid?
Tips are automatically split based on your configured rules (by shift or by day) and settle into your own connected processor account. You pay your team through your existing payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, etc.) using DiviTip's per-employee CSV export — DiviTip never holds your funds.
Can I switch plans later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your settings page. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
